Looking at the clock: Need a technical explaination...
Ok, so this is not technical, but is Porsche-related.
I cannot tell you how many times I look at the time and it's 9:11 9:12 9:17 9:08 3:56, etc....... Wierd.... ![]()

The roads are open (right now, who know 15 minutes from now).
Problem is the dang large grained sand they put everywhere. I must have emptied out 2 lbs per side from the tail light housings!

Sound familiar?
Definition of 'Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder' Either obsessions or compulsions: Obsessions as defined by (1), (2), (3), and (4): 1. recurrent and persistent thoughts, impulses, or images that are experienced (should I re-adjust my valves?), at some time during the disturbance, as intrusive and inappropriate and that cause marked anxiety or distress 2. the thoughts, impulses, or images are not simply excessive worries about real-life problems (would I get more horsepower with a new exhaust?) 3. the person attempts to ignore or suppress such thoughts, impulses, or images, or to neutralize them with some other thought or action (maybe I will detail the interior today) 4. the person recognizes that the obsessional thoughts, impulses, or images are a product of his or her own mind (but doesn't care, it's too much fun) Compulsions as defined by (1) and (2): 1. repetitive behaviors (e.g., hand (or car) washing, ordering, checking) or mental acts (e.g., praying, counting, repeating words silently, checking this board) that the person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession, or according to rules that must be applied rigidly 2. the behaviors or mental acts are aimed at preventing or reducing distress or preventing some dreaded event or situation (did I burn a valve?); however, these behaviors or mental acts either are not connected in a realistic way with what they are designed to neutralize or prevent or are clearly excessive At some point during the course of the disorder, the person has recognized that the obsessions or compulsions are excessive or unreasonable (as noted by spouse). Note: This does not apply to children. The obsessions or compulsions cause marked distress, are time consuming (take more than 1 hour a day), or significantly interfere with the person's normal routine, occupational (or academic) functioning, or usual social activities or relationships (been there, done that). If the individual has an additional disorder, the content of the obsessions or compulsions is not restricted to it. The disturbance is not due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (e.g., a drug of abuse, a medication) or a general medical condition (may be due to excessive exhaust exposure).

I don't notice the clock thing. But, I've been shopping for a replacement 911 and I keep having dreams about the couple of cars I am really interested in. Problem is I need to save a few more $$ first and I'm getting impatient. My wife is barely tolerating me, I don't dare tell her I've been having dreams about Porsche shopping too!
![]() I just remind her that this is my only real vice. Don't drink, smoke, chase other women, go out to the bars, etc. I do work 50+ hour weeks, taking night classes for my MBA, coach my boy's soccer team, do the bills, help with house work, etc ![]() Reading posts like yours, is reassuring that there are others out there like me! ![]()

Mede8r, too funny.
The other problem with using that argument is she can use it as well and following my logic, what should she be allowed to buy now! ![]() Fortunately she likes Porches as well, just not fanatical or OCD.
