I'll second that. Got a leak between chain housing and cam housing. I believe the gasket looks like a fiber washer.

Just did it on my 3.6.....I had the engine and trans out anyways for a 2nd gear fix.....bought a Pelican top end kit and redid ALL the seals. Dry as a baby's butt after a good diaper change....

Can you replace the chain housing gasket with the motor in the car, or does the motor need to be dropped out?

If its the chain housing cover gasket that is leaking its an relativly easy job that can be done with an partial engine drop (lower the rear of the engine).
If it leaks between the chain housing and engine case or the cam end seal, then its a tad more nasty...

Thanks for the quick answer. Does the partial engine drop instructions on this site apply for a 965 and also a 993? Also, how many inches can you really lower the car in a partial drop?
