Installing C2 Lighting

I have a 79 SC that I'm updating to a C2 and was wondering if someone can give me some insight. I went out and bought factory lighting from a 1991 C2, which includes front lighting, tail lights and center reflector unit. I have two questions. One, do I have to cut the sheet metal where the current rear reflector mounts onto in order to install the C2 rear reflector unit or do they sell a kit that install the lense without any cutting? I would rather have the factory C2 unit as one piece if possible. My second question is, do I have to do any mods to install the C2 tail lights? Anyone with any insight and could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks

You want to put 996 lights on your SC? LMAO! I'd love to see how that turns out

From the rear, i just cut the metal part where the original Porsche plate is attached, rear lights fit in just fine, no mods there needed. You will see what u need to cut out. Making the attachment points is more difficult

Front, well, u need the bumper

The car here is a -72, it was modded to 935 look by previous owner, i modded it first to "look like" 74-89 and then to 964 look.

Oh, phew, that's Ok then! It'd look very nice indeed

My understanding is that you do have to cut the sheet-metal where the existing reflector mounts. Totally different setup for the slanted C2 lights
