Removing the Front torsion bars on a 66
I did do a search on this, and was wondering how to remove the torsion bar from the A-arms,but i wasnt finding a whole lot of info surprisingly. The whole front end is out of the car at this time.

There is a pressure fit cap in the front end of the A-arms. The splines are the same on both ends of the T-bars. Remove the adjusters and tap the T-bars from the rear with a brass punch or wood dowel to pop out the cap and then the T-bar can be removed, tapped out, via the front or the back of the A-arm. Generally they come out the rear. On a ’66 they can be rather rusty and dirty if it has been a while, if ever, since they have been out.
