My Weidman wheels in progress

I recently shipped off 7 fuchs to Harvey to have 3 restored to original and two widened to 7R wheels. I thought that some of you would enjoy seeing what the process looks like before the wheels are complete. Harvey sent me these in progress pics today. Cant wait to get the finished product!

Its not as bad as you would think. I belive that it is a $150 upcharge if the wheel is being restored as well. Of course you have to supply Harvey with a donor wheel too.

Installed my Weidman 7R replica's on my 70E yesterday w/ a
15mm adapter plate. 215/60/15 tires with about .75-.90 inch of
clearance between the spring plate bolts & the backside of the tire.

Harvey does incredible work, these wheels
are awesome !!! A few pics...

Not sure if Harvey is an email kind of guy. I have one of his business cards, but there's no email address on it...

The other wheel shops are good, but Harvey is the only one I would take any of my wheels to. And he's a heck of a nice guy too.

Deep sixes. (6x15" Fuch that has a 901 part no.#)

There were two type of 6x15 Fuchs made. The earlier version which has a 901 number was made from 69' til 71' and has a deep dish. The later style 6x15" that started around 3/71 has a flat dish and has a 911 part number.

I wonder if he would do a "7R" style with the later flat Fuchs? I know they wouldn't be "correct," but I've got five flat Fuchs and could get ahold of one more pretty easily. I'm also not too concerned about having the deep 6 look, since my car is a '72, and not stock.

It would be nice, however, to be able to throw some 225/50's under the rear and have the sleeper look.

I'll have to stop by Harvey's shop in the near future and talk to him.

BTW, the wheels look great!
