getting worried about my turbo-not turned up after a month.....

I hope this doesnt get moved to OT, Im just trying to put the message out about my missing turbo incase it turns up on ebay or something- I recently bought a set of headers and a large ITS turbo from William Knight (KNIGHTRACE on pelican) he packaged and sent the headers and turbo seperately via USPS on the 28th of feb. I got the headers a couple of weeks ago but still no turbo. I have tried the track and confirm at USPS but it just shows that both parcels were accepted on the 28th to be shipped. Maybe Im being a bit over paranoid but if anyone spots a Big ITS turbo on offer anywhere then perhaps they could let me know. I don't really know what I can do if it turns up in someone else hands but it sort of makes me feel a bit better if I let people know! (feel free to call me a weirdo) anyway, heres a couple of photos

I picked up some engine tin last month and had the same problem with the USPS.. Part came right away then the other came like two weeks later. and it just showed that it had been accepted as well. Patience is the key here..

when I sold my B&B headers and sent them via USPS they took 31 calander days to arrive.

Man I was lucky to have a patient buyer.

Next time I'll go UPS ($4 more and 7 day shipping instead of 4 weeks)

Send a message via ICQ to Terrh
see how long you have to wait before you can claim insurance.

USPS and UPS both have ****ty tracking systems, I send everything everywhere fedex and then you know exactly where it is and what it's doing!

That 'after the fact' observation should make Andy feel a lot better.

Andy, give it some time. Lord knows it sometimes takes a month to get parts delivered within the US. I can't imagine how long the USPS takes for overseas parcels.

Then again, maybe customs snatched it up because it looked like a WMD.
Good luck, I hate it when I order something and it mysteriously disappears in transit.

cheers guys, its rubbish when something like this happens but maybe im just not giving it enough time. Im hoping customs did pick it up and have put it in the 'suspect parcel that needs to be opened, checked then sent on its way' pile, along with shed loads more parcels. that would explain the delay.

USPS sucks.

UPS may break things with alarming regularity, but at least they arrive most of the time, and within the week.

Truth is, they all kinda suck.

UPS is the last people I will ship with, I would rather walk the stuff across the country. Of course, that is up here, maybe they are better in the US. Every time I see that comercial where they say "what can Brown do for you?" a few good answers come to mind........

Cheers

Hang in there, I bought some parts off William Knight a while back and they took an age to arrive.

Actually, I have ordered 4 times from Pelican and 2 times from Elephant by USPS to Sweden. Only once has there been a delay and that was at the Swedish customs.
They are a lot cheeper also, at least overseas.
