heres what im starting with,factory 930 fenders and rocker panelshttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143658093.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143658116.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143658141.jpg

Wolverine,
Those front fenders will save you a lot of time and money. In my opinion, you probably won't need the rockers if you're going for the "clean" look, but they'll be invaluable to align your rear fenders flares when they're welded on. Good luck. |
you can easily do this car with what you have- you will need turbo rear fender flares, front and rear bumpers. you can elect to stay with the rear spoiler that you have or go with a one piece rsr tail. This is the least expensive approach. Otherwise changing over to the other "suggestions" pictured will cost more
You may want to sell off the turbo rockers too as rsr's never had them The other thing you need to consider is wheels to fill out the wider fenders http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143661453.jpg |
You could also just start with a 80's turbo-look car, add F/G front/rear bumpers RSR tail and voila! RSR replica
|
I do have the factory front valance and chin spoiler also, are those lindsey wheels?
|
the white car is sporting hre 3 piece rims , but we like the lindseys a whole lot more!
when you are ready to purchase the rsr parts contact us at info@tremotorsports.com Thanks dave |
East Coast RSR's
Hey WOLVERINE,
Here is a few RSR's we did last year and a IROC car. We are building 3 early RSR's and 2 IROC's right now. Were even backdating a 90 C4 the a 73 RSR If we can help ya just let me know. Ya can't beat those Lindsey's! Were in Knoxville, Tennessee.:D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143676409.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143676546.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143676586.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143676656.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143676708.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143676859.jpg |
nice cars and website
|
Here is one that was posted on the board some time ago. I want to build one exactly like it so bad I can taste it!!! The only thing I might change would be the rear wing.

WOW....Where did you find this monster!
|
That would look great with an IROC tail. The 3.8 tail just doesn't really fit the car.
|
I'm sure that m325ix will not mind me sharing a few pictures of his beautiful 3.0 RSR which I have taken from another post.

RideShoot&Drink,
The bottom splitter looks the same as the one on my car. It is made out of fiberglass and is from GT Racing I believe.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143851022.jpg |
Eric thanks, looks great! I'm contemplating upgrading to front oil cooler myself and front rsr look really grew on me lately. If you know, who manufactures the hood that you have with air passing from oil cooler. And also, is there connecting piece between cooler and hood? Thanks in advance!
|
or... you can go to a plastics supply house and buy a sheet of black abs to cut one out yourself
|
Hey WOLVERINE, don't mean to Hi-Jack your thread here.
RideShoot&Drink, You may be on your own with the fabrication if the hood and duct work. Here is a photo of mine while rattlsnak constructed it, I've added dimensions which should help. Chuck Moreland of Elephant Racing did something simalar to his RS. He sells duct work also. I recall seeing a write up with detals of his construction, maybe check his site.http://www.elephantracing.com/ http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1143856804.jpg |
