project 993 .. part 6

Well, I got alot more done on the project. It has to be inspected by the state BEFORE you can paint it, so when thats done, I have to take the front end all back apart to spray it. Nice huh? And it has to be in stock form. So I cant put on the Momo steering wheel, or new seats/harnesses/roll bar, etc.. until after as well.
Of course I dont have a motor yet, still contemplating which route to go. But I have put on the Big Reds, and Bilsteins!!

In the second picture it looks like the hood is misaligned, but its not latched down all the way. I just laid it down.. Looks wierd in the photo!

And the passenger airbag was a MoFo!!, drivers side got new clockspring and bag also..

More later..

Looking good snak. It looks mild compared to your last creation though.

Any big surprises in store for this one?

"has to be inspected by the state BEFORE you can paint it"

- why?

looks like Gawguh is gitting all fancy & modern... and can you just give the guy a big 'tip' - like in Louisiana?

- looks good - the 993 is a classic version of the "911"

It has to be inspected by the state because it presently has a salvage title. The only way to get a new clear title, (and street legal) is to have the repairs inspected by the state. They dont allow it to be painted because they want to see the repairs before it gets 'covered up'. And starting lat July, the work has to be done by a 'Georgia licensed rebulider' which I think is good, because it elimnates alot of,. uh,. lets say, riff raff...

Nothing too big in store for this one. It will just be a nice 993 for street/DEs with all the suspension mods/brakes, AND full interior with A/C! Its funny because I already have two sets of wheels, harnesses etc, but no motor yet!

Oh yeah the motor? Thinking either a supercharged 3.6, or a turbo motor, but might go with Euro RS 3.6.

i'm late into the game, but is it a real 993 being restored after an accident? or an earlier car being updated to the 993 'look'? lookin' good, rattlsnak.

$25K? no no no no.
Just lower the C/R to 8.5:1 and add a couple turbos. You can do it!
Oh yeh, and I'm rather partial to silver. You're going with silver right?
