Lockpost Part Numbers
I REQUIRE TWO NEW LOCKPOSTS FOR MY 1980 911 TARGA.
IN THE PORSCHE PARTS DATABASE I CAN ONLY FIND THE COUPE NUMBERS, 911 502 041 04 (L/H) 911 502 042 04(R/H) AND THE ILLUSTRATION SHOWS AN EXTENDED POST TO COVER THE COUPE WINDOW. THE ONLY TAGA PART SHOWN IS THE COMPLETE FENDER WITH ATTACHED LOCKPOST. CAN THE TARGA LOCKPOST BE OBTAINED FROM PORSCHE OR DO YOU HAVE TO MODIFY THE COUPE PART? THANKS JOHN |

Call the folks here at Pelican (they ship to UK) and ask to speak with Scott. Dansk makes a lockpost for both sides which fits a '65-89 coupe and Targa with no upper window part. The part I used on my '73 Targa is below.
They are cheap too...should be less than $100 ea. There were some supply problems with these panels recently, but if you talk to Scott he should be able to hook you up. Tell him Jay sent you.
