Fixed one problem, created another

I recently had vertical play in my steering wheel. So I put the new bushing on the column and the wheel is solid.

But while I was in there I bent the horn contact slightly to contact more because when I turned the wheel fully the horn would not work.

Now I can hear it scrape the back of the wheel whenever I turn the wheel. I have tried rebending it several times and either I am too far for the horn to work or I can hear it scrape.

Any clever solutions or should I just replace the horn contact?

thanks

erik
