When I had my car shipped by them it took a while for them to pick it up, but was delivered pretty much on the date they estimated.
Is it a running car? I did have to cancel an order with them for a non-running car as no-one was going to pick it up. Had to talk to a manager before someone would say, "oh it'll be picked up within a week or two." |

I paid them $1,100 for enclosed(!) shipping from CA to MI.
The pickup driver was late, and the car arrived a week late. When I got it it was covered with 1/4in of dust/sand, had a dime-sized chip in the door, and the headliner I installed a year before(with 3M adhesive) had collapsed inside. I think they left it in a parking lot in Nevada. Never again. |

I shipped the car twiced with them and both time it was damaged. I had to file claims both times and both times they gave me a hard time but paid in the end. I will not ship with them again

OK, for a second I thought he was saying he'd rather drive an old 911 with carbs and points rather than something newer and more dependable (lower case d). I may be slow but I'm steady!

As I posted here, I would thoroughly recommend DeMoise Trucking to anyone shipping a car. Door-to-door, enclosed, covered, fully insured, outstanding personal customer service and phone updates en route, all for a reasonable flat rate. No hidden charges, no drop off charges. It's a family business--including many of the drivers--they really care about what they're doing, and it shows. To boot, they are a Porsche factory authorized shipper, and the owner has owned numerous Porsches. They know how enthusiasts feel about their cars.
As for a slow pickup, it seems to me that unless a company has a fleet of many dozens of trucks, it's inevitable that you'd have to wait until a truck's route can be arranged. I had to wait over a week for pickup, but I was told that would be the case from the very beginning, so my expectations weren't fouled.

I used DAS. The car sat in FL for awhile. Finally was picked up. Was delivered in time. When I got it, they told me the engine compartment would not close. I fixed it, but I thought it was kind of strange. I thought is that as the voltage dropped, the alarm sounded. So they tried to pull a fuse/disconnect battery and looked in the wrong place. I dont know. They were cheap and an time though.

I guess I was lucky. I shipped my SC with them and it was fast and trouble free.
Edit: I shipped with DAS. I guess that should have been made clearer to us.
