Early fog light install. What gives?

AFAIK the back mount 169 lights are supposed to be the correct light for a '70 but they just don't seem quite right.
I thought maybe the car had been in an accident at some point that tweaked the sheet metal mounts but the right and left side seem exactly symmetrical.

Does anyone happen to have a pic of what the mounts on a '70 should look like? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

Thanks!

The lights:

Anyone? Bueller?

Before I made this post I searched through the archives. It seems that every post I could find relating to under bumper early fogs either went unanswered or turned into a discussion about horn grill lights so I didn't get my hopes up. Having said that, I'm still surprised that none of the experts here can shed any light (pun intended) on this.

I'm going to wait for the next local Club event to see if I can look at a car with fogs up close and personal.
If I give up and just put them on Ebay, can anyone tell me if I have all the individual pieces for the lights from this picture? I don't want to list them as complete if they aren't.

Thanks again.

They have the correct mount. What's not "fitting right"? They don't fit the space as well as 128s do.

Put em on, take a picture and tells us what's got ya worried.

They look complete too.

Cheers,
Michael

the repops don't fit right. no way to use the mounting stud in the original hole and have the light centered. BTDT.
