Angry Targa window install -- Need Help PLZ

Hey guys....

I have just replaced my window lifter rail ( my window kept falling out of the lifter ..... the plastic piece at the back of the rail had broken) ..... anyway, I am trying to push the window back down in to the lifter rail channel and I just cannot get it to slide down in the channel. I am afraid if i push to hard I will break the window. Just wondering if anyone out there had any tips or tricks to help me seat that window in the channel.

Thanks

What year car is it? That may help in the answer. For my car the rail and rubber piece which grips the window is a TIGHT fit. I would take the rail out and fit it to the window and then reinstall. Maybe others will chime in with other suggestions..

It takes enough force to seat the glass in the channel to damage the regulator. Take the glass and the channel out of the door. Stand the window on the top edge on a block of wood and drive the channel into place by striking it with a dead blow hammer.
