Craig, I had 6x16 Fuch's with polished lips and paddles on a '73 914 a few years ago. About once per year, I would re-polish and clean with 3M Hand Glaze and maybe a touch of P21S for a really bad spot. I would then re-wax each time I would use wheel cleaner and they were fine. Personally, I think polished vs. anodized is more of a personal preference.
