Can someone photochop the Carrera script for me?

I am trying to figure out if I want to put the Carrera script decal on the side of my Cab in either black, grey or not at all. If I do the grey script it will be with 16 inch Fuchs in grey. This would be really helpful as I cannot find a Cab in the search function with it on in my color. Thanks again

Hey Nick,

My two cents having gone that route. For your car with grey fuchs I'd use the grey script. The script is easy to remove so if you don't adjust to it, off it goes. First, I'd do the wheels though and that way you get to see it without.

Personally, I like to match the script to the wheels. In your case I'd probably only go black if I kept the wheels that way. Black centers with black script would look low keyed and understated, whereas grey wheels with grey script is a definite standout. Depends on your taste and personality. I went the silver route, though I never planned on it initially. I just think it was my best option in the long run.

Yea, I am leaning towards the look of your car. I really like its appeal. I just am uncertain how it would look on my rosewood/ruby red color. I might even have the wheels color matched to the body, not sure yet, getting some ideas though. I am trying to get everything together before the Mt Dora Porsche fest. The wife and I are going both days.

I'll be there too!

I'd really like to see your car with black wheel centers and a black stripe. I think it would bring out the richness of the color.

My red was difficult for me to figure out. When I got my car it came with a poor attempt at body color wheels and while they work on some colors they didn't on mine. Same for black they did nothing for the color of the car. Too dark and lifeless. In my case black wasn't even original. From the factory the wheels were painted platinum metallic to match the interior...Uh no thanks.

So I went to silver somewhat accidentally as I was refinishing the wheels and stripped the paint the silver looked okay. Then I tried the stripe and it's still on...even though I'm still not really sure about it.

I'm thinking gray or silver/aluminum. I think black doesn't have enough contrast.

BTW if it were my car, I'd lower the rear too. Sorry, I know you didn't ask.

How is the script attached? How does it "easily" come off?

Two part vinyl with a light adhesive background....a heat gun softens it and you peel it off....

Very nice ride!

I know it's off topic but why did you move your 928? Was there something you didn't like about the ride (not the car per se)? I posted on the 928 forum a little while ago but I'm not certain you saw it.

Thanks,

And again, Uber-sweet ride!!

The 928 was a sweet ride but my heart always has been with the 911. I have always wanted a Cab and this fell into my lap and could not turn it down

MikeZ,

What do you mean by "2 part vinyl"?

Vinyl in between two sheets of paper, one opaque and the other see thru....

The heavy opaque one peels off and the sticky sided vinyl is applied to the car, squeegeed flat and then the see thru paper is peeled off .... leaving the vinyl....
