I have a Sparco Evo L, aluminum side mounts and sliders. The standard spacing for the floor mounts on the car is 16.0". When I slide the sliders to the maximum inside position on the side mounts, the center to center distance is 16.25 in the rear and 16.75+ in the front -- too wide to mate up with the seat mount holes in the car.
Have any of you installed an Evo L seat in your car and had this problem? I just installed my Sparco Pro 2000 seat/mount/slider very easily. Thanks, Don Edit: Correct front/rear. Also, I could widen the mounting slots on the rear of the side mount, but if I do this to the front, the slot will go through the edge of the side mount.

I got it in through a combination of slot widening and brute force. Doesn't slide well, but that really does not matter. Kudos to Dan from Speedware Motorsports for the tip (Sparco referred him to me): Leave the side brackets loose, then crank on them.
