It seems I may have overfilled...
I posted sometime last week that my 83 SC has developed a leak. I remember that I began noticing the leak after I've topped off the oil and remembered that my oil level read at 3/4 full.
I drained a little bit of oil last friday and allowed the car to sit all weekend. I haven't noticed any leaks since. I have someone coming over Tuesday to change the endine cooler O ring. I may have to cancel that order if it's not leaking. Question: If i've overfilled with oil and the oil was leaking somewhere would it pool around the o ring area and eventually drip down to the heat exchangers and eventually drip on my garage floor? I may have to just clean that area where the oil deposits have built up and see if the o rings are actually leaking.

Not positive, but I believe on the SC the airbox drain hose empties on the same side as the oil cooler. Thus if oil got sucked into the airbox it would run out on the same side of the car as the engine oil cooler.

I had the exact same problem.
Oil sloshes from the oil filler neck to the cis air intake just past the air filter, before the air flow sensor. From there it goes out a drain line to a spot just near the starter motor. See the drain near the starter below. ![]() Best to keep the oil level on the low side (not below the low level mark on the dipstick though). This has been my experience.

Nope.
Anyway, this is what it looks like in black.

Try down-sizing the photo, that should work.

For pix:
Just learned this too. I used MS Picture Manager (default for my PC) and resized (edited) the shots to the smaller "document" size and now they upload. Hope that helps ![]() -Chris

At risk of becoming a monotonous bore, I'll try the picture again, resized.
![]() If this is still black, please accept my apologies.
