Ride much softer now...experts is it too low? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147355740.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147355775.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147355812.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147355835.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147355875.jpg |
I think it looks nice myself. The rear might be a shade too low relative to the front- I believe that you are supposed to look for a 1 degree slope on the rocker (back slightly higher than the front)
|
I like that ride height, but do you feel any uncomfortable inside. What about mine, would you think is too low ?

Its a little low for my taste....but it is somewhat subjective...if you do a lot of track time it might be ok....but for general street driving I think you might find issues with the ride height....only way to find out is drive it for a while...
|
looks fine... if you don't rub you're all good.
|
I would have left it alone at Euro height.
|
Feels very SOFT
The ride feels spongy and soft --like the rear shocks are bottoming out> but no rubbing or knocks though.
Just re- measured I asked for 24.25 Rear and 24.5 Front After driving it home I remeasured it Its 23.5 Rear and 24 Front  Looks great though???http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147357784.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147357810.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147357853.jpg |
It looks great, it shouldnt rub, leave it as you have it now.
|
The front looks spot on but the rear is too low IMO. The rear tire is too far up into the fenderwell compared to the front.
|
you mean should be the same ?
Did it ought to be level with the fender wall like the front?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147358595.jpg
cheers Rich |
Raise the rear a little.
|
I thought it was fine before. If the ride is too soft I'd put it back where it was.
|
I dig it....I think it looks perfect.....tell me how I know (just finished this myself)....BTW how is the rebuild on your friend's red 930 that got tangled-up?

Ideal height IMO....
This is the height I was hoping to achieve>>> http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147360555.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147360607.jpg

I wonder if the susp. is too low and the geometries are screwy? The front looks fine, i think the rear looks a little low aesthetically but I have seen a lot of cars with the "lower in the rear" look lately, maybe the tuner shops have found this faster at the track? DWSD's car comes to mind. I am assuming they re-aligned after they lowered?
|
IMO, It looks about 3/4 on an inch too low in the rear. The front looks great.
It is amazing the difference your new Fuchs wheels make. That is one beautiful Carrera! |
Seems majority think its too low>>>
Yep I tend to agree >>
I was advised to go 24.27 front and 24.25 rear, that's what I asked the garage to do...BUT Its now 24.0 and 23.5 rear. If youre saying the front is fine at 24 then where should I set the rear ? Thanks |
Redhatter,
Thanks for referring to my car as the perfect ride height. I can tell you that the measurements @ the centerline of the wheel to the arch are F 24 7/8" and R 24 1/4". The arches are S flares. The tires are 205/50-16 Fuzion ZRi on 7" Fuchs, which should have a dia of 24 1/8". So far, in normal street/highway driving I have been OK wrt rubbing and bottoming. |
