Need Wiring Help!

Hi...I'm posting this as it's own topic to get a little more exposure. The deal is, I'm putting my 3 liter into a 69, which has a unique wiring harness. I have everything connected the way I think it needs to be, but no luck just yet.

To quickly answer your questions:

1. Yes, I've seen Chuck's thread. It was immensely helpful, but doesn't describe where he tapped into the 69 harness.

2. I have all of the relevant wiring diagrams.

3. I don't have a ton of electrical experience, but I'm tryin.

I'm wired, but not sure I'm right. I decided to use the '79 wiring harness from the starter to the engine compartment, and try to tap into the '69's stuff. I'm not getting the starter to fire at the moment, so I'll try to describe and post some pics.

The main yellow and red wires from the starter come into the engine compartment. I have the main red wire tapped into the main power block on the left side of the engine compartment. Then the small red and yellows split off to an ignition relay on the left side in that power block.

Below are some pics to help describe the situation a little better. It would be REALLY helpful if someone has wired up a 69 with a later model engine, because the 69 is totally unique.
