Long studs for Spacers/adapters
I read many posts questioning the use of adapter for track and recommending the use of spacers.
Would it be ok to take the studs out of the adapter and use long studs from the hub using the adapters as regular spacers. Hope this is clear, but basically what I want to avoid is to have to buy new spacers.

Yes. What you have is a spacer with stud holes. Take away the studs and you have ....... a spacer. You may have to drill out the stud holes if they are tapped, most are pressed in and not a problem. It looks like yours are pressed in from what I can see in the picture. Pop 'em out and have a go.

Plus some sanctioning bodies (like PCA Club Racing) allow spacers that slip on over longer studs (like you're planning to do)but do not allow spacers that bolt to the hub and then the wheels bolt to studs in the spacer (like yours)

I agree with the PCA rules...but in principle..isn't this exactly the way the front hubs are attached...with 5 extra sunken nuts ??
