Back date oil lines for B&B SSI ?? not needed!!!

Hi all, I just purchased the two backdateed oil lines for the B&B header+heat dual in dual out muffler, as it turned out the lines were not needed the existing lines did not interfere at all? Whatam I missig here? I did searches and everything I read states thes lines were needed? Has anyone else installed this exhaust setup without having to backdate oil lines? The only thing I'll be missing is the rear heat.

I backdated my exhaust to headers and did not need to change oil lines either.

Prior to the change, I read that different oil lines were needed but since I decided to forego cabin heating, I was pleasantly surprised that the passenger header pipe just passes under the oil line.

Since that part of the oil line is metal, not rubber, there should be no problems with exhaust pipe heat.

Have fun with the change; throttle response is improved and it'll sound more aggressive!

Thanks for the response, I was a little surprised how loud the two in two out muffler is, especially between 1800-2800 rpms, I stuffed steel wool up the pipes to reduce the drone, helped a bit, hopefully does not impact on the flow too much, the response still feels improved but lets be honest its hard to truly distinguish power vs increased sound almost placebo effect, in anycase It does turn heads and sounds fast, any other experiences worth sharing out there, OH buy the way I will be installijg the upgraded chip to compliment the setup

What chip are you looking into? I'm thinking about one myself. I hear really good things about Steve Wong's chip from this forum, plus he's local for me.

Besides fitment where many have done what you have done, is heat issues, you really do want to keep the oil lines away from the exhaust components, especially long paralllel runs
