Are SC and Carrera thermostats the same?

I'm wondering if SC and Carrera external oil thermostats are the same, more specifically if they open at the same temperature?

I'm comparing a 1980 SC and a 1985 Carrera.

Scott,

My '78SC ext. thermostat was replaced from a Carrera. The replacement thermostat starts to open @ 180 F and had used it for years. Hope this will help.
