Just go most of the way down the page...you will see it listed right under "tools specialty". Click on the description page links to the right of it and there are two nice jpg pages full of info and usage guidelines. I don't know if you've seen Tom1394racing's '73 RSR...it is truly something to see. It was part of the inspiration to start this project (that and Matteo's masterwork).

Looks like you should have used some spacers on the rear...those tires dont fill out the wheel wells.....haha.....that car is gonna be flippin sweet!!!:)

You said you didn't use spacers in the rear, what calipers will you run? How will you clear the calipers without spacers? Don't they normally need some sort of spacer to clear larger brakes? The inside of the Lindsey Fuchs are not meant to clear large brakes, if I remember correctly.

I think Mike is going to use the Brembo GTP lw brakes.

The the mounting face of the inside of a Fuch wheel is flush with the inside of the petals.

You need a 3/8 spacer i think to clear the caliper. In other wheels that spacer is built in the center.

So if Mike were to swap the Fuchs with some Fikse for example he would not need any spacers.

DW SD: I am going to use spacers in the rear, 1/4" was required to clear the GTP-LW's I bought. What I meant was that I wouldn't need the big turbo spacers. Now that I've seen the outcome, I may have went with the carrera rather than turbo arms for 3 reasons: 1. Cost 2. Your Lindsey's appear to have a slightly "deeper" look to them (by about an inch) which I lost by going with turbo arms (I didn't know this at the time I made the decision, the "deep look" was what I was really after). I didn't think to ask Mike Lindsey if the offset for turbo arm wheels would be that different, but I can see the difference between your rears and mine (I don't think it's an optical illusion). 3. I'm having big problems trying to keep & mount my GTP-LW's in the rear now. They are meant for carrera arms, the spacing is different for turbo arms, requiring a custom made adapter. They were originally purchased for my targa but I want to put them on this car. They are very well balanced (sweet bias#'s as per Bill V.), have significantly lower unsprung weight per wheel (10+ lbs per wheel!) and are more than enough brake for a light car like this. Heavier GTP's would just hurt my suspension performance, plus it's been said they are not as well balanced (biased) as my GTP-LW's, possibly requiring a dual MC setup to correct it.

jhynesrockmtn: Go for it!! Use Doc R if you can, he's got alot of practice doing it! PM me if you have any questions or if I can steer you clear of some of my pitfalls to date. That tail you have is the small one, the ones for the IROC RS & the RSR are much larger. Look back in this thread, you'll see a pic of the tail stacked up w/other parts. As a primer...read matteo's thread, DW SD, tom1394racing & J olsen's to mention a few. A wealth of info there.

I'm kicking around the idea of going slightly darker on the color...lately Mexico Blue has been looking a little too much like powder blue to me. Someone suggested Audi's Nogaro Blue and It's really growing on me. Just the right amount of darkness plus in bright light, it's a very intense light blue. There is a pearlescent component to the paint which gives it "multiple personalities" in different levels of light. I'll definately do some late night searching and reading. I won't have the funds in the near term or probably ever to really do a thorough job like you are doing. I'm just hoping to get the thing mechanically sound first and then progress from there. If I can achieve some of the look I'll be happy. I also want the functionality of the front oil cooler and brake cooling. We'll see, I guess it depends on how handy I can get over time.

Great color blue on the Audi. I prefer Mexico blue, but the color doesn't necessarily make the car.

Thanks for the info on the brakes - sounds like you picked the right product.

As for the wheels, I could easily measure the "dish" if you were interested in verifying illusion or not.

The improved geometry for the turbo trailing arms should be advantageous if you are pushing the performance limit.

I was a little disappointed with my "dish" as well on my old 3.6.

I was using carrera arms and no spacers apart from clearing the calipers (Brembo GTP) and the wheel is a 11x17 with a 315/35-17, exactly like yours.

This is a pic of the old 3.6. I do not see a big difference with yours... Maybe it's just Doug's that looks like the dog's bollox

DW SD & Matteo...I would be interested in measuring the "depth" of the offset, just for informations sake...I do think that Doug's looks "deeper". I won't be able to do it until I pick up the car sometime in November, though.

On the subject of color...I'm going to stick with Mex Blue. Doc already bought the color a week ago. He has a point...there is something to be said for a vintage, period-correct Porsche color. So I will be following in Matteo's footsteps after all.

Thanks for the kudos. I measured rim to front of the flange - outside of the petals. It is very near 5.5"

I suspect it is the finish or the lighting as opposed to any real difference. My wheels have little clearance on the inboard side, (with oil lines) suggesting that the dish isn't maximized. I actually run 1/2 in spacers to clear the oil line. Obviously, you can space out, but not in, which is how I planned the wheels.
