'83 911SC injection/starting problems

My '83 911SC doesn't start well. It kicks right off, hot or cold, but when the motor is cold it takes some "pedal" (about 2000rpm for a minute or two to warm up) and then it is fine. Warm it starts and runs fine. I replaced the warm up regulator and it still starts hard cold, reading the books I am looking at the aux air regulator......any ideas? I have found that after starting when the engine is cold/cool that if it stalls out I sometimes have trouble getting it to start unless I leave it sit for awhile. Sure would like to figure this out........

I had a hard start problem with my 3.0 and it turned out to be the fuel accumulator. $180 in parts. I installed it in ten minutes....

The symptoms included a long wait in the morning for the fuel pump to get the fuel up to pressure for starting. It was a gradual thing, progressing to a wait of a minute or more.

Warm starts were not affected...
