SC won't idle
I just purchased a 79 SC which has run fine until this morning. When I started it the idle would fluctuate from 1200 down to 600 rpm in about a six second cycle. It only died when I tried to engage the clutch. Once moving, it did the same thing at every stop. I went about two miles to the store. When I came out 20 minutes later it ran fine.
Just prior to my purchase it had the fuel pump relay, CD unit, ignition coil, and spark plugs replaced. Suggestions? Rich |

RICH,
That sounds like a fuel pressure regulator problem. If the fuel pressure is to low during warm-up, it will make the engine run too rich untill you get some heat into the motor. Good Luck, Lee |
