Give it a go Markus, I find it really works well on the rims and other bare aluminium stuff.

Phil, what is your plan, to paint it again or just leave it bare like I have? In the past I have seen others here on the board mask everything off and then paint again, which is what I did. I could not figure out how to take it all off in an easy way, so opted for masking off the car etc and as I was only using wet and dry manually, I was not to worried about getting any other parts.
There is a section on removal in the Bentley manual if you have it (570-5 & 640-1 in my SC manual) on removing the window frame.

Pål,

I'd like to repaint mine black. Your car looks sharp, but I think the black trim works on my car. I'd even thought of powder coating it but not sure if that's feasible. Anyone else on here done that with their trim? I don't have the Bentley, but perhaps I should get it after three years of ownership! The 101 book and this web site have given me a lot of great info so far.

Phil

Will this kind of treatment work on the door handles too?

Probably. I have not decided if I will keep the look or paint them black again. If I keep the look, then I will also try to do the door handles and the front and rear screen as well.

I think it looks great! I want to retro my car a bit by having the black window trim powdercoated silver. Sounds weird but it turns out nice. I like your car as is.

Thank you for the complements Bob...

It is growing on me, and with the new silver stripe (Finally fitted the SC stipe I got from MikeZ) and RUF rims I think the striped window frames look good.
