RSR 3.0 Piston/Cyls.. worth buying used?

Hi, I was searching ebay in germany and found a set of used P/C's for RSR 3.0
complete set + 4 extra pistons

what kind of problems would you usualy find on these, I mean.. what would be worst case for buying used cylinders unseen.. out of shape with piston slap? if so.. I can get cheaper paperweights locally!

(there are som pix in the auction)

Perhaps someone else has a need for a set, seems to be out of stock in most all parts houses as well!?

disclaimer: I have no connection to this seller.. just stumbled across these.

Why not "certify" all the critical dimensions.....diameter measured at 90 degree intervals....ring and land height/depth, etc.....get it measured and written down as "certified correct" and use it a warranty/ gaurantee for the sale?

careful buying used p/c

Wil is right. Make sure both the p & c are within spec. I once used a used set out of spec in a rebuild. Burned so much oil you had to change the plugs every 200 miles. What a waste of my time!
