Please help me find this distributor part
I'm sure I'm not the only one that has a distributor that is missing or has a broken connector on the side. This is the small black plastic connector that connects to the points on the inside (circled below). There is no part number for this piece and I can't find them anywhere. The early 2.0/2.2 distributors have a round hole and the later 2.4/2.7 distributors have a square hole. I could use one of each type if I could find them. Any help is appreciated.

All that is is a bulkhead fitting. If you can't find one, what you could do is get a rubber grommet to fit the opening, make your connections for both sides and seal the remaining opening with black rubbertex.
The plastic serves as a seal to keep moisture/water out of the distributor. Steve "A Porsche does more then just go fast in a straight line"

Hi Steve - That's an option but it's an early 2.2S distributor that I had rebuilt so I was hoping to keep it stock and nice looking.

I wonder if you might be able to get one off a VW distributor? Just a thought.
