unavailable window trim??????

I have a new front and rear windshield and also rear quarter windows. I removed the old ones and the gaudy chrome seals where shot so I threw them away. Does anyone know where I can get the black replacement ones. Or does someone know what would be a comparable replacement for this. I was told at once that kenworth seals might work. I guess I would need the clips too. They have been temporarily unavailable for too long for my taste here on pelican otherwise I would have purchased them instantly as I am extremely loyal to this site. Thanks for all input you might have.

Why would you go with black replacement trim pieces?

Ohio-
Are you referring to the aluminum trim that is inserted in the rubber seal? If Pelican can't get them, and I'd call them to find out about availability, try Stoddard. If its black you want, you could always find some anodized aluminum ones (silver) that you could sand smooth, straighten, and paint.

I cant find any of these seals anywhere. I would have no problem if I had to manufacturer them myself or take old ones sand them and paint them. I just would not know where to start. I live five minutes from stoddard, so I tried them already. If any one has old used ones(wrong board) that they could sell I would be interested.
. Do you think a wrecking yard could pull in decent shape and ship some without them becoming distorted? I have to believe there must be other pelican-heads who wanted to replace aged seals before.
thanks again

as far as replacing with black. I have decided no chrome will be allowed on my car except on the rims. Just a personal preference.
I really couldn't care less about it's originality. It's a project car to say the least.

Scott,

I figured I would try to reply here because your e-mail box is full and will not accept e-mails.
How much would you want for the used window trim? Do you have the quarter window trim? Is it in decent shape? no major kinks ? I am more than likely interested!!
thanks
matt
