I'm in Norcross.

kellyporsche 08-15-2006 02:01 PM

Wow Kelly I guess we have drinking as similarities too. Anyway where ever. I would at some point like to have people check out my car and and shout out any ideas (and the car is of course sleeping in the garage). Lets get an idea on where to meet up though. Not to familier with the area, but I can find my way.
Thanks
Neil

If you guys want to meet some other car guys, you need to go to the car show/meet at Giovanni's.

No charge at all and tons of great cars and people.
The resturant is at the intersection of Mcginnis Ferry and 141.

The owner of the place sections off the lot. All kinds of cars, mostly exotics. Porsche,Ferrari,Aston Martin, Lambo, Fiat,
Lancia, etc.

Starts at 4pm till dark this Sat.

Usually meets once a month.
Unfortunately I will miss this one.
I am taking my freshman daughter to college out of state.

Hey thanks for the info I think I might show up and check it out.

Kelly Bell 08-15-2006 03:22 PM

That is about 2 miles from my house. Every October they host an Italian car day. I bring my Fiat. The babes are in full force for that. Ever noticed wherever there are Ferraris, there are beautiful women?

BlkBird 08-15-2006 06:19 PM

Kelly,

You should have been there the day the black Diablo pulled up. The passenger was blonde, long legged and wearing all the right clothing. Zounds! They do come with the car!

So you guys thinking about going for a drive on the 18th or on the following Friday? If we leave around noon we could beat the traffic and maybe go to Turners Corner after a few twisties? Or does Neil just want to meet somewhere local and talk cars/women/beer (especially if the car is sleeping)?

If not a mountain run, how about we visit Bob Sanderson @ Kinetic and then head over to a restaurant/patio on the lake for beer & burgers?

kellyporsche 08-16-2006 02:50 PM

Hey BlkBird I am down for anything. I am off @ noon every friday. Yea I need some opinions on my car. Let me know what you everyone wants to do. I am def interested in seeing the kinetic shop. Just let me know.
Thanks
Neil

Come on by Road ATL this weekend. PCA DE on Sat and Sun.

ghnat 08-16-2006 06:04 PM

I'll be there, just don't get black flagged or you will have to see me :)

kellyporsche 08-17-2006 03:21 AM

Ray B what time does this go down these 2 days?

Ray B 08-17-2006 03:50 AM

Greg, hopefully I won't see you with a flag in your hand, but I'll try to hunt you up at happy hour. I'm a silver SC w/ a red #1 on the front wing running group B. For all interested- the driver's meeting is at 0800 and first group usually about 0900 on Sat.. We run until about 1700. Sunday- about the same except for 1100-1200 quiet hours. During these hours there is track touring (in your own car). You are limited to about 60 mph by guide cars, but it gives you an idea of what the track feels like and is pretty cool, especially if you have family with you. The event if free for spectators, but we do ask for a small (@$10) charitable donation for track touring. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver as you enter. There is a lot of very nice equipment there generally. Please find me if you decide to come up. Cheers.
