930 4 speed w/o shims!!
Hello,
I have to rebuild an 83 930 box. The r&p is damaged so I get a replacement matched set in good condition but w/o the shims stack with it... There is some numbers scribed on the ring and on the pinion also. Is there anyone how might be able to tell me what thickness how many shims I need as I have read that the cases are all in same tolerances machined ? Also I need 1 and 2 gear sets anyone have some for sale ? And a very serious question can I put a 915 open diff in a 930 box ?? Thank you all VERY MUCH for your great help!!! ![]() typo corrected thanks! Last edited by Jim Hunter; 08-19-2006 at 02:25 PM.. |

I've got 1st, 2nd & 3rd 930 gear sets in the garage.
Send me an email if you're interested.
