New caliper and pulling hard to that side

So I finished rebuilding my calipers. The problem was that the front left caliper had to be replaced. When I went to bed the new pads, the car was pulling hard left under braking towards the new caliper. Could it be that the new caliper is working much better than the old one on the right side and that's the problem?

Plus maybe the "fatter" ( newer) brake pads on the left react first ??

Did you bleed the circuit in the proper order ... right, then left?

I did bleed in the right order, but I think I'll bleed them again tomorrow. I did bed the pads, that's when I noticed the problem. Could it have been a problem from bedding? They are pfc 97's and this is the first time I've used them.

Similar - but not quite the same - I rebuilt both front calipers & replaced the flex lines 3 week ago. Twice I have locked the driver caliper on hard braking. No pulling but the locking. This caliper also seems more prone to sticking etc too from what I've read on the forums.

You can try bleeding them again, but I doubt that this is the problem.

I've noticed this sometimes on a new set of pads, specifically PFC 97, but it goes away after some use. If you are happy with your bedding procedure and the bleeding, try driving them for a few hundred miles and see if the problem goes away.

If you have a digital camera, post some pictures of your front rotor surfaces. By looking at those, you can tell whether you have a good layer of pad transfer built up now from the bedding.

You might also have terrible corner balance..the lightly loaded side will lock first....

Car is going in to see the wrench tomorrow for a pre-DE tech inspecton. I'll see what he thinks it could be.

Update....still can't figure it out. Not pretty at the track. The caliper is locking at about a 7 on a 10 scale. I'm stumped. Could it be a bad caliper? Should I replace the other front, could it be from an imbalance of the new one on the left and old on the right?

check the runout on the rotors, it might be worn on the right side

Did you wipe down the rotors with with brake cleaner? You may have some grease from your dirty hands on the rotor(s).
