toe in measurement vs tie rod turns
after that confusing subject heading maybe i got the attention of a couple people.
a while ago i found a posting that told how many turns it took on the tie rod to adjust the toe in a certain measurement. ie...1 full turn on tie rod = 1/8" toe. |

You could figure it out. The pitch of the thread is say 1mm (just a guess) therefore each turn moves the tie rod in 1mm.
Next measure the radius of your tire and the distance from the centerline of the spindle out to the tie rod end (in plane with your tire). If the tire diameter is say 30" and the radius is 15". If the spindle radius is 10" the ratio is 1.5 X. So with a 1mm pitch, every turn would bring in the toe by 1mm X 1.5 = 1.5mm. All of these numbers are SWAGs but you get the idea how to figure it out.

Then it's 1.5mm if you have the turbo tie rods, otherwise 1.5x2=3mm for non turbo rods since there are threads on both ends.

right but the 1.5mm was calculated using guessed at numbers...
