Random hose! Please identify...

I was replacing my fuel filter yesterday, and noticed this random hose, that appears to be disconnected and plugged with a bolt.

My only guess is it is associated with the cruise control. My car has cruise, but the brain and harness have been removed by previous owner - I have no idea when.

If you can tell me what it is, and if there are any issues with the current plugged configuration, I would appreciate it.

It is located between the blower and fuel filter, and appears to 'T' off another line.

On another note, I recall seeing something on the net a while back about an aftermarket replacement Cruise Control brain. It was adveritised as solid state, and a significant improvement over OEM brain. Please let me know if you have any knowledge/experience with this or any other cruise upgrades.

Thanks --

Mike

By the looks of it, it looks like the vacuum hose for your power brakes was tapped into to. Possibly like you mentioned for an aftermaket cruise control. Either ditch that hose and plug up the hole which it came from or just leave it.
