Not sure what the part is, but I need one....

On the window regulator, there is a spring. This sping attaches to a little round nub that is kinda squared off. Mine is broken right were the spring attaches, I flipped it 180 before and it worked for a few months but it finally broke. Does anyone know where I can find this little part or is there even a part # for it.

Tom, Why don't you visit Don McGill Porsche and see if they can figure out what you are talking about? Is the spring that big, flat, spiral job, or something else? My parts catalog does not show any detail about the mounting of that spiral spring.

warren,
its the part the center of the spring attaches to. Is about as big around as a dime and an inch and a half long. it has a small notch cut into it so the center of the spring can grab it, it cast and the lip where the spring catches must have gotten brittle and cracked. Thats the best way i can describe it.

Sounds like a problem I had on a '71T some time back. You may be talking about a part called a "pivot". It is about an inch long and has flats cut on one end and a slot in the other. The spring end fits in the slot. Usually one of the little legs that form the slot breaks off. The part might be found at Pelican. There is a picture on page 95 in the Automotion catalog #19. Good luck!
