So, where does this belong?
I have a 1983 911 SC and the truck light does not work. Upon inspection I found this little guy just hang'in there. New car for me and trying to figure my way around.

Well being brown I would suspect it is a ground. From the looks of the wire sticking out of the housing it looks like it pulled out of a conector.Start looking around for a round terminal that is bolted to the body in that area. I will look in my 82 and see if I can find it in my car.

There is a group of ground wires right there next to one of the air vent tubes. See if one of the wires is ripped out from there.

Okay, found the white round connector near the hose. It appears to be a 6 wire connector, but in mine only 5 wires are being used. This is on both sides. In other words, I have 5 wires coming in and going out the other side. With 1 empty connector position on each side.
