Yup, being 3000 miles away doesn´t stop us from thinking of you !!

JohnJL 09-14-2006 03:04 AM

Or 8000 miles...Every experience I've ever had with Steve has been great. Good luck mate.

Sounds like he needs a laptop and linkcard...nothing more boring that sitting in a hospital bed all day....

williecoyote 09-14-2006 05:45 AM

Hope all is well.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

WERK I 09-14-2006 05:58 AM

Steve,
Wishing you a speedy and full recovery.
Your humble grasshopper.

RickM 09-14-2006 06:06 AM

What Cris said....Steve is one of the true Gentlemen on the board.

Get well soon!

hobieboy 09-14-2006 06:27 AM

Get well soon Steve...

ToddM 09-14-2006 07:09 AM

I know a lot of P guys but Steve is definitley one I'd call a true friend. I have spend many a hour on the phone with him talking about everything under the sun. Steve is one of the best advisors not only on P cars but on life!

He is one guy that will never steer you in the wrong direction and is an invaluable resource to the P community. This says nothing though of his kindness and willingness to share his knowledge to others whether or not they are actual customers of his.

I have been thinking of Steve ever since I received an email from his wife that he was laid up.

Steve; we are thinking of you - hope you are back to yourself soon

89turbocabmike 09-14-2006 07:16 AM

Get well soon Steve! I can't say enough about your contributions not only to this board, but also to all of us on the Rennlist 930 board(and I'm sure many of the other forums there as well).

There are few people you can still do business with on a hand shake, Steve is one of them. Thanks Steve.

Sincerely, Michael Kondo

Geary 09-14-2006 07:35 AM

We're thinking of you, Steve .......

9elf 09-14-2006 08:22 AM

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Steve.

I'm very appreciative of your help.

I'll bet the nurses could rebuild an early MFI system, twin plug a set of heads and size 911 sway-bars by now.

mgbruno 09-14-2006 08:23 AM

I echo all the comments and am sorry to hear this. Steve is a great guy and has really helped me with my seemingly unending list of clueless questions.

Semper Fi,
Mike

Randy W 09-14-2006 10:14 AM

Also wishing you a speedy and full recovery, Steve!

You are one of the best people in the Porsche world without a doubt. Hope to see you back on your feet soon.

JTO 09-14-2006 10:38 AM

Does anybody actually know what's going on with him?
Troy

david c. 09-14-2006 11:20 AM

To Steve! I will raise a toast to good health tonite.

lateapex911 09-14-2006 11:34 AM

My carbs still aren't running well, but it's no fault of Steve's who has posted as much or more great tuning info than anyone else. And that's just the tip of the iceberg concerning his contributions. Lets all hope for the best.

Hang in there Steve, and we hope you find medical help that is as knowledgable and dedicated as you are to your profession!

Jeff Alton 09-14-2006 05:41 PM

Hey guys, I got a message from Donna today. Steve is aching to get out of the hospital. She does not expect him to be out this week but hopefully soon. She is passing on all the messages to lift his spirits.

Cheers

Chocaholic 09-14-2006 05:52 PM

Glad to hear he's on the mend. C'mon back soon Steve.

ToddM 09-14-2006 06:20 PM

Catca,

Thanks, this is at least encouraging.

I have to admit I have thought about Steve at least 5 different occasions every day over the past few days.

ToddM 09-14-2006 06:25 PM

Steve.... tell nurse Ratchet where to stick it! lol

Good to hear....read. Since he's on the mend, maybe we can all chip in and have one of the Bada Bing nurses provide some medical attention. ;)

Get Well Soon Steve

Charlie V 09-14-2006 06:57 PM

Thanks for all your help Steve. Get well soon.

Cheers!

randywebb 09-14-2006 07:00 PM

What a bad thread to get back from out of town to...

Best wishes, Steve!

Jeff Alton 09-14-2006 07:11 PM

It seems as though he is on the mend. I will also forward Donna a link to this thread.

Cheers

I spoke with his wife Donna via email and he is still in the hospital undergoing some more tests. She told me why he is in there but I don't think it should be mentioned in a public forum.

She is relaying all messages to him and was told that he is highly appreciative for people's kind thoughts...:)

Hopefully the tests pinpoint the problem and they can treat him and get him home...

Steve, I hope it's nothing too serious and to see you back on line soon!

Formerly Steve Wilkinson 09-15-2006 04:44 PM

Oh for chrissakes, it's doing nobody any good to say his problem is "something that shouldn't be posted on a forum." My friend Steve has either a bowel abcess or an intestinal blockage, Donna tells me, and they're workin' on it. He'll be fine, though currently running on IV induction.

Stephan

JeremyD 09-15-2006 04:52 PM

Wow, how ironic - he's one of the last folks I would have guessed that was full of crap! Get well Steve.

lateapex911 09-15-2006 04:56 PM

Well, I am glad to hear that. It's not life threatening in most cases, but it IS something to be concerned about. I was fearful it was worse. Lets hope for the best.

We've all owned a car with a stuffed up catalytic converter at some point, I'm sure. It slows you down. ;)

Here's to the doctors figuring out what the problem is and getting Steve back on the road right away. He's truly one of the best we have in the Porsche community.

psarmany 09-15-2006 08:27 PM

Get well soon Steve!

Pete

sww914 09-15-2006 09:28 PM

Hopefully the doctor is 1/2 as good a doctor as Steve is a Porsche guru.

Hey, what's the difference between a doctor and a mechanic?

The doctor has to wash his hands AFTER he goes to the bathroom!

Get well soon, Steve

Formerly Steve Wilkinson 09-16-2006 03:57 AM

Steve will probably be home Monday. No surgery required, the meds seem to be clearing it up.

Stephan
