Thanks Steve Wilkinson. for "clearing" that up. A little information goes a long way in calming all of us who care about the man!

I'm late to the party, but I'm very glad he's coming through O.K.

Hope you're back to healthy and back to work soon Steve!

Gentlemen (and ladies):

I'd like to offer a genuine and heartfelt "Thank You" for everyone's kind words, well wishes, and thoughtfuless expressed here. To be honest, I was just stunned.

Recently, I was unexpectedly hospitalized with some complex intestinal issues (see Mr. Wilkinson's post) that not only disrupted my work schedules, but also prevented my normal timely responses to e-mail, telephone calls, and commercial inquiries/orders. I really didn't realize how many tubes, hoses, and cables can be hooked to a human being at one time. :)

My deepest apologies for any inconveniences for anyone trying to reach me.

At least for the present, nobody can say that I'm "full of it". :)

SCHNELE 09-18-2006 11:04 AM

What an apology from someone in your state are you seeking martyrdom or something get well soon.

Chuck Moreland 09-18-2006 11:04 AM

Glad to hear you were able to attend to the backpressure issue with simple bolt-ons. No need to split the case and do machine work.

Welcome back :)

CBRacerX 09-18-2006 11:06 AM

Super to "hear" from you again! Don't stop streaming out the advice :D

Steve:
Glad to see it was just your "flux capacitor" needing a little tweeking.
Happy to see you are away from the hospital.
Don't you know that those places are just for sick people?:D

Seriously, good to see you are back....now where are those dang parts of mine!?!?!?!

If you need any help boxing up all your shipments that have been delayed while you were out.... just give me a call.

lateapex911 09-18-2006 11:31 AM

Whew....my Mom actually died from that issue and complications, so i am glad to hear you're fine. It always sucks when a Pelican goes "missing" and there's no news. Glad this all......worked itself out. Sorry, couldn't resist.

ChrisBennet 09-18-2006 11:41 AM

You had us worried Steve. Glad you're back!

This is not the vacation the wifee was talking about...
Talking about cheap. :D (Inside Joke all)

Perhaps this story is appropriate for the situation:

A surgeon and mechanic were discussing their respective jobs.

The mechanic claims their jobs are comparable because both occupations require excellent hand-eye coordination, patience and keen diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. We should be earning the same amount of money for our skills.

The doctor shot back with, "Yes, but only one of us does it with the engine running."

rim shot.

welcome back Steve.

Sherwood

Steve@Rennsport 09-18-2006 03:01 PM

Sherwood:

That was eloquently spoken, sir. :) Thank you.

Was so nice to talk to Steve again... now I can get some sleep. All is right with the world (until tomorrow)

Welcome back Uncle Stevie

Zeke 09-18-2006 07:36 PM

Great news. You weren't partaking of any spinach, were you?

No, I guess not from the FSW report. Glad you're feeling better.

artplumber 09-18-2006 09:43 PM

Steve,
I'm glad that it all "came out alright" in the end. Hope you continue to recover well at home.

I wonder if this means that infomercial about getting monthly colonics for the 30# of impacted feces is right?;)

Very good way to put it. It was only after watching my ex-wife do a heart transplant that I really realized how complicated some of these operations can be these days.

Glad to hear you are doing better Steve. BTW, Metamucil is your friend here. Many of us who travel for a living and eat a terrible diet (no other choice most of the time) have found that it really makes life a lot better and safer at the same time.

livi 09-19-2006 03:37 AM

Speaking for the Foreign Swedish branch - good to have you back Steve ! SmileWavy

jacko241 09-19-2006 03:41 AM

Steve, heard about this late, but glad to hear everything is ok.

WERK I 09-19-2006 06:51 AM

This explains why the haz-mat teams were on high alert last week! :D

Seriously, Steve its great to see you out of the hospital and back home.

Come to think of it, I did hear sirens even while under the influence of some "interesting" drugs,...:)

Thanks very much,......its good to be back in the saddle.

pwd72s 09-19-2006 08:01 AM

Welcome back Steve...Hospitals are good places to stay OUT of! I'm sure the MD's have given you the dietary lectures. Paul

Wil Ferch 09-19-2006 11:10 AM

I'm coming in late on this too ( been outa the country for a while)....

...so...

I guess this would be a bad time to ask if a single-in / single out ( vs dual out) muffler is better than the other....eh?

Speedy recovery, Steve !!! ....

Steve, glad to hear you are feeling better. Without reading Mr Wilkensons post, I am assuming there was a Leak down test performed on your combustion chamber.

ROFL,......Indeed, a leakdown was performed (everything seals well), but the plumbing was found to obstructed,...:)

Severe back pressure issues, to say the very least. :)

Superman 09-19-2006 03:06 PM

Stick around, Steve. I old whiskey and fast women. Unplug that plumbing.

Bravoaloha 06-26-2019 11:23 AM

I know this is a very old thread but it is on topic and I thought I would bump it rather than start a new one.

Has anyone (maybe those who are closer to him) heard from Steve? I have been working with him over the past few months on putting together a parts list for a suspension refresh I am doing. About 3-4 weeks ago when I was about to order I stopped hearing back. I am worried about him as his silence is uncharacteristic and I am aware of his previous health issues.

Sending all the best Steve, hope you are well!

HarryD 06-26-2019 11:27 AM

Hi. Steve is still out and about. In fact he posted here yesterday. Reach out to him again as sometimes life overtakes you and this may be one of those times for him.

It seems to me I have seen posts from him recently, but not sure. Mr Weiner is a great guy.
