Respray - question re velvet seal rail
Hi,
My SC is currently having a respray. The panel shop has removed the velvet upper door seal as well as the rail it attaches to. The rail is screwed into the body. My rails are distorted and really should be replaced however, although I can find reference to the velvet seal here at Pelican there's no reference to the rail. The PET version refers to the same part number (91154240401) as being the sealing rail. Has anyone replaced the part recently and able to advise me on what I need?? Danke Ron78SC ![]() |

Just had a respray as well. On my 80sc, I believe the seal and rail are one piece that screw into the upper portion of the door frame opening. On mine, the rubber tended to rip away from the seal part, so you may think they are 2 separate pieces, but it's just one. That might explain it.
Good luck.

Spiff has it right, There are little tiny sheet metal screws holding them in the jamb, you have to fold the half round part back to see them. I got mine from either pelican or vertex, and used 3M weather strip adhesive and the tiny screws to re-install them.
