How to remove tires?

I knows this sounds stupid but here it goes.
I have what looks like wheel locks (factory?)
on the wheels of my car 1988 911 plastic tops that snap off and outside spins free they look like black plastic tubes over the lug nuts. CAN NOT find the key! Any ideas? Please no jokes. Thanks for the help

You need a key to insert and turn. The cover then will pull straight off exposing the lugnut. I know that I can remove some of them without the key, they just pull straight off. It depends how worn and dirty the lock mechanism is. Its worth a try. You only other alternative is to force them off, possible destroying them, and buy new ones, (If you really need the locks), or try to get a key made. It may be cheaper to just buy new ones if needed. To tell you the truth, they don't seem that they would be difficult for a theif to bypass if he wanted your wheels.

Hey 89" thank you for the reply. the locks are in great shape.Tight as can be. So I popped the locks off no choice! They would not stop someone from ripping them off you were right. If anyone needs to know. Take a slotted screwdriver smack the lock slot at a 45 deg angle and the locks will pop right out. I need 4 new lug nuts now!

BTW 89 911,
I tried to reply to your email about the ss exhaust, but the email bounced back. Do you have another email?
