Expression of Gratitude - DIY Project Report

After all the many posts with questions, wishes and whines, my 2006 DIY project is nearing completion. Completed to date:

Adjust valves, silicone gaskets
Replace flexible oil lines from thermostat to engine/tank
Replace engine compartment fuel lines, manifold gaskets and insulators
Replace oil pressure switch, breather cover gasket, thermostat o-ring seal
Upgrade head temp sensor
New sound pad
Replace spindle seal races and o-rings, wheel bearings and seals, calipers, rotors, pads, emergency brake shoes, brake lines from rubber to caliper
Replaced ball joints and sway bar bushings
Bilstien HD shocks
Turbo tie rod kit

I’m so grateful that I was able to learn all I did with your help and confront each glitch as it came up.

The car started right up, runs awesomely and rides fabulously, although I still need to lower and balance it and have it aligned. After a lot of flushing, the brake pedal is a bit soft and goes halfway down, then pumps right up on the next stroke. A former Peter Z. post on Rennlist describes this as normal for a new set of calipers, so I’ll drive it a couple hundred miles and see what happens.

Porsche owners are so lucky to have each other. It would not be possible to appreciate the cars without y’all. I can never be grateful enough that you put up with me. I’ll try to pass on what I can when I can.
