Need LSD additive w/Swepco?
Just noticed on my repair bill that the mechinic used Swepco, but did not specify any LSD additive.
Old receipts from the PO feature a seperate line item for the additive- but do not mention the fluid used. Just called and he said not necessary with Swepco. Can anyone confirm? |

I just noticed that your 911 is a 87 with the G50 gear box.
Swepco 201 is recomended for the 915 but for the G50 box everybody seems to like synthetic gear oil. Either way you have awsome oil in there. Did you notice any difference is gear change with the swepco? Which swepco did you use? |

The invoice just says "Swepco 80/90".
I noticed no difference, but had I read my receipts in greater detail, I would have found that the PO had just done the gear oil change about 1200 miles earlier. DOH! Oh well- at least she's flushed well. I think the next change I'll go to Mobil 1. At my rate of driving that will be in about 20 years. |
