Proper compression testing
Hello, I need to perform a compression test on my 73T 2.4 MFI. What is the best way to disable the electric fuel pump as well as the ignition to ensure I don't do any damage to the eletronics. Any other pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks, Joe |

You can unplug the CD Box, and also pull out the fuel pump relay and/or fuse...

Thanks Wayne, so this is the large connector on the CD box and does anybody know where the fuse is for the pump on a 73T?

Also remove the center fuse on the rear relay elec console. This disables the cold start squirters. Just to be sure, even with the fuel pump off. I belive the fuel pump fuse is in the front and labled inside the fuse cover.

Thanks Milt, appreciate it. Hope to do some good diagnostic work this weekend and get this baby running properly again.
