Thnx Jesper.

Here a whole different project we are doing right now of one our Customers.
Its a BMW 3.5 CSL, M49 engine, 24 valve with slide throttle injection, 430 BHP from BMW motorsport mid '70.
For the people who enjoyed these cars when racing in the same Group as the Porsche's

Thnx for the interests, hope that this project will finish in time for the historic racing season which starts in April!

Here some details from the pumps (info & parts are hard to find).
There was a BMW M1 pump fitted before on the engine.
I took us more then a year find a original CSL 3.5 M49 pump!

Pump M88 (BMW M1) pump type PL06-124.01 A2

Pump M49 (CSL 3.5) pump type PL06-133.02 A1

Pistons & Crank/Rods fitted

Wim,

That's quite the collection you have there!

Yes, parts for these machines can be difficult to find, even during the production years.
I worked for BMW for sometime. Although at the dealer level.. I made sure to make friends with some @ BMW/NA, and have several enthusiastic friends here with connections to BMW in the Old Country should things get really tough. There used to be several M1s in the area here that were maintained by us or one by 1 of 2 qualified independents. Those were the days!

Thanks for the pictures from your "art gallery" Wim, beautiful stuff! The cars in Holland must not use oil and grease.

My Brother Ralph his home build race simulator;

1st one, it was fit with air cylinders, no smooth movements, just a try out project!

Project changed to another plan, second one with electrical Cylinders, more realistic;

Ralph worked on the Porsche RS Spyder project during racing season 2008 at Van Merksteijn Motorsport
