Which has fewer problems and is more reliable
I have an 89 3.2 Carrera Cabrio I bought a few weeks ago but was thinking of a early 90's c2 cabrio as prices have come way down and I seem to swap cars alot. The 89 was a great deal so I couldnt pass it up but may sell it to get a better one. Is one prone to more problems than the other? Is one far more reliable than the other? I am new here so I wanted to get some input. It seems as I look at the early 90's I see alot of ads with new or rebuilt motors. Thanks for any input you may have!

The 3.2 Carrera's are more reliable than 964's, all things being equal.

The '89 was the end of the run for the 3.2. Early 90's 364 had their "issues"....Read the lastest issue of Excellence and the predictions of the problems the 346/993 will have with "wiring" down the road as they become older.

The Carrera 3.2 is less evoluated...so easier to work on and less prone to get problem as well...
