Heat Problem

I've heard of this problem, but I don't recall reading a possible solution. My '83 sometimes refuses to start after having been driven hard for a couple of hours during warm weather. What causes this and what's a fix?

If it refuses to turn over, then I would replace the starter solenoid.

If, on the other hand, it turns over but will not start, then it's probably your fuel pump check valve.
