993 on board computer display illumination
The digital display in the tachometer has recently lost it's illumination. The digitasl output is readable but is no longer bright enough to read at night. Anyone know if this can be repaired? - thanks.

Doubtful.
However used units are constantly on eBat w/OBC for $300. I doubt you could have yours repaired for less than that. Call Palo Alto or Hollywood Speedometer and maybe they can tell you more. Good luck,

You can definitely replace the bulbs for the OBC backlight. Pull the tach out, there are a few screws holding the back on, then you can get at the bulb...... I've replaced them on my 90 C2, and i'm pretty sure it's the same on the 993 tach.......
