front struts. Help
Hi again,
I have a '69 T sportomatic 911 under heavy restoration. Somebody told me -Grady?- this car has -or had- the Comfort option: hydroneumatic struts, without front sway bar, big brakes... like the E model. today I was taken out the strut inserts and found this nice gift. a custom inserts. Can I use this struts with standard inserts?... Do I need S-struts to keep the big brakes?... what do you think? Thanks, Sergio

That is a koni insert which is typically used with S suspensions. I think you need S inserts. Do you have the aluminum calipers? It is possible to have konis on a boge suspension but it is definetly more rare.

I think they are aluminium calipers. sportos had big brakes. I donīt know if this inserts are original..look at the metal rings itīs like an adaptation.

I think they "fixed" the h-pneumatic struts by adding spacers so the smaller standard struts would fit. They did this on my '71E. You should check if the can has torsion bars - or not.
