Advice for newest member of slashed cab Top club

Well, after less than 4 weeks of ownership, the top on my Cab was slashed not just in one spot, but a 2x2 section cut out by the SOB while left overnight in a parking deck. (i am only now reading posts about how you Cab guys keep your door unlocked, but the radio had no faceplate, crappy speakers and no loose change... WTF??) Anyway, a couple of questions
1) I redid my targa top without problems... but the consensus seems that Cab top replacement is not done easily if not experienced. Is this the case? Anyone in eastern NC know of a good top guy?
2) Will the top from a 993 fit without buying new seals, etc
3) Has anyone bought one of those $300-400 'Buy it now' tops on ebay, or do they suck? Someone said German canvas is the best... is there someone in particular who sells the best tops? Thanks

Sorry to hear

I have heard that the 993 top fits. I have also heard that cab installation is not a project for the faint of heart. I assume that your insurance will cover this, so why not go to the best shop available and see if insurance will cover it?
