Front caliper swap question
Hey guys, I havent visually looked at the 74, but I was wonderiong if the calipers on the front of it will fit on my 71e?
Also, while I'm here....what is the MM size for a rear sway on that car (74)? Thanks in advance....skip in VA |

I think Warren said something about a change in suspension parts around '74 that accepted the updated brakes. Perhaps a month ago.
Found it. Here's the text of Warren's comments about some features on a '74 S I noticed. 1) Early heat exchangers with equal-length tuned headers, from which SSI's are copied! Hopefully, they aren't rusted out! 2) A stainless steel OEM muffler, if it still original, worth about 20-24 HP when combined with your SC engine, and the above heat exchangers! 3) Highly desiable 'S' alloy front brake cailpers ... and the struts to convert any '69 or later car to the 'S' or 'A' calipers your SC has!!! 4) A 915 transaxle with the highly desirable 7:31 (4.429:1) ring and pinion gear!!! ------------------ '83 SC [This message has been edited by Superman (edited 08-28-2000).] |

It depends on the version of the '74 ... the 'standard' 911 in '74 had the cast iron 'M' calipers with the narrow bolt pattern. Carrera and 'S' models in '74 had the aluminum 'S' calipers, with the wide bolt pattern.
